Murder mystery readers will want to know whether my mystery/thriller LONG LOST MIDWIFE has one or more murders to solve. The answer, of course, lies within the book. I shall, however, disclose: a real-life, celebrated African American detective of the 1930s era…finds their way into LLM‘s increasingly complicated plot. Other 1930s’ crimes:

  • The Charles Lindbergh baby kidnapping of 1932 had not yet found its perpetrator by LLM‘s conclusion in 1934.
  • The Anheuser-Busch kidnapping on New Year’s Eve 1930 in St. Louis shocked the city. The Prohibition era, which ended in December, 1993, was rife with national kidnappings.
